ABOUT

Ever-evolving. Attention to detail. Bold. Unapologetic. Dynamic. Human. Takes up space despite how it's done, for who, under what context. My design work presents art as a life practice. I am Tessa Slatkavitz. My pronouns are she/her/hers. Roger Williams University, Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and Communication and Media studies. Building an ethos toward social change by designing for marginalized individuals and communities with silenced voices—Dismantle the patriarchy; Breaking the binary.

Earnest. Determined. Personal growth. Self-aware. My design work is a reflection of my intersectional individuality. Combining my focused fields will provide a guideline for how to design the conditions of a community and/or organization in the context of activism. I open myself up; I marry my personal beliefs and communication skills through my design knowledge. Greatest achievement: LGBTQIA+ Sex Education Initiative for 3rd to 5th graders introducing an unbias and factual lens on queer definitions, vocabulary, and lifestyles ensuring school to be a safe space for queer kids.
